Journal 64: A Reprieve

Life as a student is as boring as boring gets most of the time. Escapes are hardly available to students and we usually seek escape in games, television, music, chatter, and dreaming. Dreaming is probably the best escape a student can have. However many times these dreams become night mares. More homework and more boring hours of class, it seems never ending. We all know that in the end it is suppose to pay off but most of us don't seems to care or realize.
I always try to find a way of escaping the pressure but the escapes are always only temporary. Everyday I come home from school I sit in front of the television or computer and just stare at it. My mind is blank and I try to avoid any temptation of entertainment, because I know the sooner I get rid of my home work the earlier I  get to escape into my dreams. I may not remember what happened in the dreams but I know that that is the only time of day that I am completely relaxed. I wake but only wanting to go back to sleep. Dreams are such a good way of escaping daily pressures.

  1. I don't dream about a lot of things when I sleep, so I can't really feel what you're talking about, but I do understand the life as a student. Especially as a junior, we are required to do more homework and tests while teachers have the same expectations on us, or even more. My way of relaxing is probably just watch some Youtube videos and laugh for five minutes before I start dong all the work again.
